The MicroTray is a combination central-mounted drive control and activity tray which also provides upper extremity support. Any mini-proportional joystick from Switch-It, Stealth or ASL can be mounted in the tray which comes pre-wired to the Active Controls quick disconnect Center Drive System.
A 3” heavy-duty arm under the tray allows a 360 degree rotational adjustment of the drive control so it can be positioned exactly where it best meets the needs of the wheelchair user. Moving the MicroTray out of the way for transfers is a breeze because it simply lifts off of the chair and can be safely stored unattached to the chair, or in an optional side-mounted holster socket on the chair.
The surface of the Switched Tray Drive is infinitely adjustable in height, pitch and proximity to the user and never touches the armrests. The installation of the switches, instead of requiring tedious mounting, are sandwiched between two layers of polycarbonate. The polycarbonate pieces are attached with a flat hinge and a single knob for fast, easy access to proximity switches.
This ground-breaking approach to tray driving also positions the display at midline for easy viewing and virtually eliminates exposed wiring. The Switched Tray Drive will reduce repair calls due to wiring damage and accidental disconnections and allow fast and easy field adjustments to switch positions. It can be operated with 4 or 5 naked proximity switches.
Active Controls Rehab Solutions allows an installation of any head array in a matter of minutes. Installed using the modular sockets of the Active Controls Rehab Solutions product line, a head array can now be dropped in and out of the socket for easier calibrations and quick adjustments.
Switch It head arrays have the versatility to utilize 3, 4 or 5 proximity switches, with the option to embed the sensors in the long, short, flat, or curved head pads. Additional offset facial pads, proximity switches, and other options for custom placement give the client the access to the switches they need.
