While there are other game controller housings embedded with wheelchair joysticks, this unique product takes an existing Playstation 2 controller and converts its commands (whether its the analog joysticks or the directional or action pads) into signals that the wheelchair electronics understand in order to drive the chair or control other chair functions. This allows a user that is familiar with the exact feel and movement of a standard game controller to operate their powerchair. We can customize the various buttons for specific functions upon the client’s needs/request.
The Switch It VersaGuide is a fully proportional compact joystick. Over half the size of standard wheelchair joysticks. Available with regular amount of force (VG) and with a light amount of force (VG-EZ) required to drive the wheelchair.
Similar to our Drive Control Scanners, but dedicated strictly to seat functions, our Seat Function Scanners come in single and dual options. The Single Scanner allows seat activation with one switch of any type as the seat function is displayed on a scrolling display, with an adjustable time rate, while a dual scanner allows a second switch to control the scrolling.
Our Mouse Driver allows a powerchair to use their proportional or switched drive control to control their computer mouse wirelessly via an RF transmitter and receiver. For non powerchair users, we can provide mouse control independent of a wheelchair through switched head arrays or other switched offchair controls.
The Flex Array Package is a proximity sensor system specifically designed for clients that may have changing conditions and require different switch access locations as their condition changes. The Package typically includes 4 sensors, each on a heavy duty quick disconnect, a headrest, and two additional extension cables. The sensors can be placed in the headrest, adductor/abductor pads, or any other desired switch site, as needed. The quick disconnects allow each sensor to be removed from the system for transfers or other reasons.
